This year for a friends birthday we decided to have a dinner party for her on the end of "the point." Which is a mini peninsula in our town. The out of the ordinary location made it more special and we were inspired by the location to make it "hawaii-esque" without being cheesy. Here is what we did... Wailua Sodas (so yummy and made on Oahu), Salmon pineapple rice and salad in a to go box, wrapped with a leaf, votives wrapped in leaves and tied with a string, and a yummy cheesecake. It turned out great and meg's husband did a good job of keeping it a surprise... she didn't even know where she was or that we were all there!

popped on over from The coterie blog...this post made me "homesick" for hawaii!
I went to BYU Hawaii and lived on naupaka street. Instead of turning right to get to the point you turn left and I lived in the rocky road house. *sigh* many good times were spent on the point.
Super rad idea to have a party there! And the party pictures are fabulous!
